The Arizona Attorney General will be appealing the 9th Circuit’s stay on Arizona’s voter-ID rules.
I sure hope SCOTUS agrees to hear his appeal. Keep your fingers crossed.

Terry Says: October 12th, 2006 at 10:14 amI’m not sure what the AG might have requested (the news article didn’t say for sure), but at times the court being appealed to will allow the original law or ruling to be in force until the appealed court decides. For instance, the appellate court issued an injunction against the ruling by that judge up North that called the warrantless wiretap law unconstitutional. The program can continue until the appellate court issues a ruling otherwise.
Perhaps the AZ attorney general has requested that sort of action.
