The Senator from Illinois provided me with much needed comic relief this morning.

“The arguments of liberals are more often grounded in reason and fact,” the Illinois Democrat wrote in “The Audacity of Hope,” a memoir published last year.

Ok, so when my Mother-In-Law (a liberal Democrat holding an important position within the state party) argues that Clarence Thomas ‘took the black person’s spot on the Court so he should think more like a black person’…that’s reason and fact?

HAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Hang on a moment while I wipe the tears away.

Whew, I needed that.

“But there are few examples in history in which the freedom men and women crave is delivered through outside intervention.”

Then what in h… was WWI and WWII all about?

Now add Afghanistan and Iraq. Some freedom was recently returned to Somalia with the invasion of that country from the military of another country to remove the Islamofascists.

So, is Obama confused with history or am I?

The United States is the outside intervention that is trying to help deliver freedom to the men and women of Iraq who crave it, no?

He said “few” examples. Not “no” examples.

True. However, a lot of past history has been when most conflicts simply involved bordering states. But as transportation capabilities become advanced it becomes inherently necessary to be prepared to repel or defeat an aggressive force while they are still away from our own borders.

With the advent of missiles, even rogue nations or organizations like al Qaeda have the capability to launch attacks, even without a large standing army. Thus, if a nation is harboring terrorists, that nation becomes more dangerous.

Having said that, I believe that nations that tend to harbor and encourage terrorists also have a tendency to be dictatorial and keep their populace less than free.

And speaking of Obama, LA, keep an eye on Hillary. She is more of a danger to your ability to vote for Obama 4 or 5 times in 2008 than a Republican candidate would be.

Kinda makes you wonder about all those who want to limit our free speech and strip us of our guns, eh? It makes me wonder. In fact, I’ve “wondered” enough and have come to a conclusion. I believe it’s more than just incumbency protection. I think it’s about total control.

” Look at your rights and freedoms as what would be required to survive and be free as if there were no government. Governments come and go, but your rights live on. If you wish to survive government, you must protect with jealous resolve all the powers that come with your rights - especially with the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Without the power of those arms, you will perish with that government - or at its hand. B.E. Wood

Woody, you come up with some of the greatest quotes. May I use this one as I have others? I will give you credit.
