This one’s for the gentlemen.
When your wife goes out of town with the kid for a few days and you’re left all alone… make sure the house isn’t in worse shape when she returns than it was when she left. Otherwise she can’t be held responsible for the things that come flying out of her mouth. Or in my case, things that come flying out of my throwing arm.
You’ll thank me for this one.
This has been a Raising Farrahzona public service announcement.

Terry Says: February 20th, 2007 at 6:17 amThis follows comments about “Mother of the Year”?
Perhaps we are to take it there will be no postings about “Wife” of the Year.
Seriously, though….(well, as serious as I can be taken at times)…. if a wife leaves town WITH her child is the first clue for the husband. She will return cranky due to having said child in tow.

This reminds me of the Andy Griffith episode where Aint B goes away for a few days to visit her sister. Meanwhile the house becomes a mess. Just before they leave to go pick up Aint B from the bus stop, Andy and Opie bust their rear ends getting the place cleaned up, then realize that by doing so, Aint B may think she is not needed anymore. So, they mess the place up again, then go to pick up Aint B. The neighbor lady comes by and sees the house is a wreck and cleans it up. When Andy, Opie and Aint B come home and she sees a clean house, she is devastated and the boys are confused, to say the least. As Aint B walks thru the house and sees how well the boys can do without her she becomes more and more depressed. Andy has an idea and tells Opie to go check out his room, which is spotless. Opie frantically messes up his room and just as he sticks a stale PB and J under his pillow, Aint B walks in, sees the mess and is so happy she is still needed to take care of “her boys!â€
Moral to the story: Make sure Elaine feels needed!!
