Anyone up for hanging 4000 feet above the Grand Canyon?

The Grand Canyon Skywalk is now open. I’m all over this like this morning’s paper on fresh fish. Who’s with me?

Terry Says: March 21st, 2007 at 9:12 amNow, as a “serious” amateur photographer, I would be all over it with you. As I am always looking for different perspectives in photography, I think this would be great.
Now, having said that, I can guarantee that my wife would not venture out onto the skywalk herself. And, I am not sure I would be willing to pay from $50 to $200 to get that different perspective.
Someday, I hope to take a couple of weeks to travel out to see the Grand Canyon, Arches National Park, Canyonlands Park, Zion National Park and any other source of natural wonder.

Terry Says: March 21st, 2007 at 1:24 pmWell, Crud! I just found out in another news story that an official (chief?) of the tribe said that they were going to ban cameras and cell phones from the Skywalk.
I guess that means I won’t be going after all.

Phil Says: March 22nd, 2007 at 1:23 pmI think it degrades the Grand Canyon and I also believe if white’s had wanted to build it, the Indians (Native Americans) would have been all over them getting it stopped. Just my .02 worth.

Liberal Avenger Says: March 23rd, 2007 at 10:07 amThis will be the first money the Avenger has given to an Indian tribe that didn’t involve blinking lights and a buffet.
